San Francisco

It must’ve been 2005 or 2006 when we first visited San Francisco. Back then, hubby and I were in our early twenties, not yet married. It was a spontaneous weekend trip, and although we couldn’t stay very long, we had a blast visiting Chinatown, walking across the Golden Gate bridge and riding their transit system.

This city, over a decade later, still mesmerizes me. I thought it deserved its own post, so I want to share all the pictures that I took from our trip to California in 2019. It’s busy, it’s gritty, and it’s exciting. I can’t wait to go back.

These were taken with my iPhone.

These were taken with my DSLR.

We had lunch at this restaurant – Sam Wo – the oldest restaurant in Chinatown, supposedly.

These hills were no joke! STEEP!

Central California Coast

In late February 2019, we took a family trip down to Central California. The main purpose was to see the Hearst Castle. That is another sight to behold! But before we did that, we explored the beaches near the castle, in a little town called Cambria, California, tucked away about 3 1/2 hours from San Francisco. We stayed at a cute little hotel called Sand Pebbles Inn (which was very nice – highly recommended!), and explored the beach in the morning, after a very long late night drive. It was absolutely worth it, for the beaches in California is nothing like the beaches in Oregon. My heart will forever be in love with these scenes, and I can’t wait to back to California again.

This is Part I. More photos to come.
